BintiCare Foundation — Our Programs
Providing school uniforms to vulnerable learners across Kenya. A uniform is more than fabric — it is a child's ticket to belong, learn, and build a future.
Every child we reach has a before and an after. The before is a story of barriers — shame, absence, and lost hope. The after is a story of belonging, confidence, and a future reclaimed.
Without a uniform, children face exclusion and are turned away at the school gate — forced to watch their peers learn while they are left behind.
A uniform restores dignity, removes visible inequality, and sends a powerful message: you matter, you belong here, and your future is worth investing in.
They stood on the edge of missing school, held back by something so small yet so heavy — a uniform. The Uniform A Child Program by BintiCare Foundation turned that moment into a new beginning.
Across Kenya and Sub-Saharan Africa, millions of children are denied their right to education — not because of ability, but because of a piece of clothing.
The lack of school uniforms contributes to absenteeism, dropout rates, social exclusion, reduced learning outcomes and education inequality.
In Kenya, schools enforce strict uniform policies. Without one, a child can legally be turned away at the gate. For families living on less than KES 500 a day, a full uniform set is simply out of reach.
We deliver a complete kit that equips every learner to participate fully — without distraction, discomfort, or shame. School uniforms, shirts, sweaters, skirts, trousers and shoes for vulnerable learners.
A complete, school-approved uniform set — shirt, skirt or trousers, and a sweater — tailored to each school's requirements so every child is indistinguishable from their peers.
Sturdy, well-fitting closed shoes that protect children's feet on long walks to school and complete the dignity of a full uniform set.
A durable backpack to safely carry textbooks, exercise books, and stationery — because a child who cannot carry their materials cannot fully participate in learning.
Pens, pencils, a ruler, and exercise books so that on day one, every child can open their bag and participate fully in class.
Our team follows up with every child and family for 6 months post-donation to monitor attendance and ensure the uniform continues to open doors.
We engage parents and teachers in school-attendance workshops, equipping communities with tools to sustain children's education long after the uniform is given.
The Uniform A Child project prioritises the most vulnerable learners — those who face the greatest barriers to accessing education and are most at risk of being left behind.
Every donation is tracked and directed with care. Here is exactly how your contribution becomes a uniform on a child's back.
You make a secure donation via BintiCare's Paynettar portal. Every contribution is pooled and directed to our Uniform Fund.
Our community teams identify the most vulnerable learners — verified with school records and in partnership with local leaders and government stakeholders.
A complete uniform kit is assembled and handed to the child and their guardian at a community event — a moment of celebration and dignity.
Our team monitors attendance for six months. You receive an impact report showing the child your donation supported and their progress.
The Uniform A Child project directly contributes to four of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, creating measurable, lasting impact.
