Who we are

BintiCare Foundation Kenya is a registered non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of vulnerable children, girls, teenage mothers and underserved communities.

Since 2012, we have worked through a community-centered approach that ensures sustainability, inclusion and long-term impact.

    Needs assessments with head teachers and local leaders to identify the learners and communities who need support most.

    Partner

    Working through schools, local leaders, government stakeholders, donors and communities so solutions are owned locally.

    Act

    Daily meals, reusable pads, uniforms, school fees and mentorship, delivered directly to the learners they are meant for.

    Measure

    Tracking attendance and outcomes after every intervention, and strengthening our monitoring to report impact transparently.

02The problem

Hunger, cost and stigma keep capable children out of the classroom.

An estimated 1.2 million children are out of school in Kenya. An empty stomach, an unpaid fee, a missing uniform and the silence around menstruation quietly push children out of class, and keep them out.

03What we do

Six programs. One promise: no child left behind.

From the classroom to the community, every program is built to remove a specific barrier standing between a child and their potential.

Rooted in Kitale, reaching across Kenya's ASAL regions.

Our head office is in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County. We work with schools and communities in Trans-Nzoia, West Pokot and Bungoma, and Lishe Kwa Mtoto feeds learners across Kenya's Arid and Semi-Arid Lands.

Behind every statistic is a name.

Before joining the Pad a Girl Program, Lilian often missed classes during her period, worried about her uniform and her classmates. After menstrual health education and reusable pads, her attendance — and her confidence — never looked back.
