About BintiCare Foundation
Since 2012, BintiCare Foundation has dedicated itself to the dignity, education, and leadership of girls and young women across Kenya — building a future where every girl has the power to thrive.
BintiCare Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to empowering girls and young women through education, mentorship, rescue, and access to opportunity. We believe that when girls are supported, entire communities thrive.
Founded in 2012, we have grown from a community initiative into a movement spanning 25+ communities across Kenya — running rescue centres, mentorship hubs, nutrition programmes, and uniform drives that keep girls in school and on the path to their potential.
We envision communities across Kenya where girls are safe, educated, healthy, and empowered to lead — where no girl is left behind because of poverty, circumstance, or gender.
We create a future where all women and girls have the tools and the power to reach their full potential — through targeted programmes in education, health, mentorship, nutrition, and safe shelter.
Three pillars shape everything we do — ensuring every girl experiences dignity, direction, and belonging at every step of her journey.
We believe every girl should know her worth. Through classrooms and community programmes, we challenge the words, situations, and imagery that lead to low self-value, discrimination, violence, and injustice.
We believe every girl should lead a life with an informed sense of direction. We assist vulnerable young women and girls to find truly meaningful, fulfilling, and fruitful pursuits — for themselves and their community.
We believe a girl can become what she wants to be without feeling alone, insecure, or helpless. We create safe spaces, lasting support networks, and rescue centres so every girl knows she is seen and valued.
From our first outreach in 2012 to 78,000+ girls empowered in 2026 — every milestone is a testament to what communities can achieve together.
BintiCare Foundation is born with a bold mission — to create dignity, purpose, and belonging for girls and young women across Kenya. First outreach sessions begin in local communities.
The BeginningOur menstrual health programme launches — providing sanitary products, health education, and pad-making training so girls never have to miss school due to their period again.
Health & DignityBintiCare opens a rescue and rehabilitation centre near St Joseph National School. Teen mothers and their children, and pregnant teenagers, are given safe shelter, counselling, and a pathway back into school and society.
Shelter & ReintegrationStructured mentorship programmes and pad-making training centres launch across multiple sites. Young women gain life skills, leadership confidence, and a livelihood through making reusable sanitary pads.
Leadership & SkillsBintiCare's footprint expands dramatically. Active programmes now run in over 25 communities across Kenya, bringing education support, health outreach, and mentorship to thousands more girls.
Expanding ReachThe Lishe Kwa Mtoto nutrition programme launches in partnership with lishekwamtotokenya.org — ensuring children and mothers in underserved communities have access to proper, consistent nutrition for healthy development.
Nutrition & HealthOur uniform programme launches — removing one of the most persistent economic barriers to girls' education. Every girl who receives a uniform attends school with confidence, pride, and equal standing among her peers.
Education AccessBintiCare celebrates a landmark year. 78,672 girls empowered across Kenya. But this is not a destination — it is a launchpad. We continue to grow, reach more communities, and ensure that no girl's potential goes untouched.
Milestone YearOpened in 2017 near St Joseph National School, our rescue centre provides immediate shelter, counselling, and care for teenage mothers, their children, and pregnant girls who have nowhere else to turn.
Every girl who walks through our doors is given more than a roof. She is given a path — back to school, back to her community, and forward into her future with dignity and support.
These values guide every programme, every partnership, and every interaction we have with the girls and communities we serve.
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of honesty and accountability in all our programmes and partnerships.
We are open to continuous learning, improvement, and clear communication with every stakeholder we serve.
We prioritise underserved and vulnerable communities, ensuring our support reaches those who need it most.
We engage communities directly in designing sustainable, locally-owned solutions that last beyond our programmes.
We see every girl as a valuable individual, not a statistic — and we work to challenge everything that diminishes her worth.
We equip girls with the tools, confidence, and knowledge they need to lead their own lives and shape their own futures.
Our programmes restore dignity, strengthen resilience, and create sustainable pathways for girls and young women to thrive.
We engage communities through awareness and support programmes that promote dignity, health, and empowerment for every girl.
Our rescue centre provides immediate care for teen mothers, their children, and pregnant girls — offering shelter, counselling, and reintegration support.
Our mentorship and pad-training centres equip girls and young women with practical skills, economic independence, and the confidence to lead their communities.
